The next LEGO Ideas set, 21326 Winnie the Pooh, has been officially revealed!
The set will retail for $99.99 in the U.S. when it releases two weeks from today on March 18th (for VIP members only). The set's general release is scheduled for April 1st, but it will likely sell out before then!
I'm so glad new molded pieces were made for this set, although I think Pooh himself looks a little bit off. That's a shame, but all the other characters look fantastic (especially Eeyore)!
I love the build - it's smaller than I expected but I'm happy to see that the build splits open in the middle rather than being modular-style, and I really like the use of coral pieces in green for the tree leaves (those bees are super cute, too). It's also great of LEGO to include several printed honey pot pieces instead of just one.
My biggest issue with this set are the stickers. Ideas sets are usually more deluxe than normal LEGO sets since they're geared towards an older audience, and I think it's a shame to see stickers in this set and 21324 Sesame Street. Both sets have several new molds for their characters so the trade-off is perfectly understandable, but personally I'd have preferred a $10 price increase to see all the stickers replaced with prints, and that's not something I usually have an issue with. That being said, this set is still amazing and I'm definitely going to get it ASAP!
