A Sony executive has promised a first look at the Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel in December 2020.
According to Murphy's Multiverse, a website run by a reliable Twitter scooper, Sony Pictures confirmed that we're getting our first look at Spider-Man 3 at ExpoCine 2020. ExpoCine is an annual convention, held virtually this year, that takes place in Latin America and allows studios to exhibit their upcoming films.
Camila Pacheco, the Executive Marketing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment in Brazil, confirmed that production has begun on the Spider-Man sequel and said we would get our first look at the film in December of this year. She used the terms "preview" and "teaser trailer" when describing what we'll be seeing.
I hope this is true, because while a teaser trailer a year in advance is quite early, it would be amazing to have a glimpse at what this movie is going to look like. Spider-Man 3 is getting pretty big with the inclusion of Doctor Strange, Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the rumored returns of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and other actors from the previous Spider-Man franchises, so getting a simple teaser would reassure fans and give them something to look forward to. The only Marvel content fans have seen since March is the teaser trailer for WandaVision and the final season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and I think we're all starved for more. With WandaVision presumably impacting Spider-Man 3, it would also be fitting to see a teaser for the movie while the Disney+ series is airing.
